WOW Presents Big vs Small
WOW could not be more excited to be partnering with Garage films for the Australian premiere of Big vs Small.
Home to the largest wave ever ridden, Nazare is a name feared by almost every surfer. Few would consider it a stepping stone when dealing with mental health challenges. Joana Andrade takes us on her journey through past hardships which have driven her to take on one of the most dangerous waves in the world.
From free diving under frozen Finnish lakes to conquering ongoing battles of past trauma. Joana is a testament to the healing powers of the ocean and its ability to restore mindfulness.
A rebel and a thrill seeker, Joana shows us the determination and unique preparation needed to take on the largest waves on earth. Raw and open, Joana's articulate description of past trauma provides a chilling insight into the depths of her mental health challenges. With the help of free diving champion Johanna Nordbals, Joana shows us how the combination of breath work and freezing cold water can open the gate to a new wave of goal setting and mindful clarity.
